Meet the Artist

Harry Mutasa was born on 21st June 1973 in the capital city of Zimbabwe (Harare). As a young boy growing up he had always been attracted to expressing himself in such a way that would reveal his inner feelings visually through visual art such as painting.

At the age of 17 Harry went and enrolled himself into an Art school in Harare ghetto neighborhood of Bare where he started to expand his horizons and get help on improving his talent. He started working with Weld art which is a media that allows the artist to express himself through metal sculpture made from different scraps of metal and also through canvas painting in abstract. By the end of his course he had already won several awards by The National Gallery of Zimbabwe (N.G.Z) which are listed below:

A quote from Harry Mutasa: 'To me Art is a means that can bring together all societies and cultures around the world, there is oneness in art, there is no language no perception of color but only the light of the soul which I believe is human'.
